英语中的过去时态
英语中有2种主要形式来表达过去：
- 一般过去时 (simple past) : Last summer, I traveled to Japan (去年夏天，我去了日本)
- 过去进行时 (past continuous) : I was working when she called (她打电话来时我正在工作)
⚠️ 从技术上讲，现在完成时和过去完成时也可以表达过去的概念，但这些结构将在专门的课程中介绍
Prétérit（过去时）和 past simple（一般过去时）指的是完全相同的动词形式，它们只是两种不同的称呼。
Past continuous（过去进行时）、prétérit progressif（过去进行时）和 prétérit continu（过去进行时）也是完全的同义词，都指同一种语法结构。
使用情境
这两种形式各有其特定的用法和不同的语境。
一般过去时用于表达：
- 已完成且终结的动作 : Two years ago, I visited New York (两年前，我参观了纽约)
- 一系列的过去事件 : She opened the door, switched off the lights, and left the building. (她打开了门，关掉了灯，然后离开了大楼。)
- 已结束的习惯 : During my childhood, I read comics every evening. (在我童年时期，我每晚都看漫画。)
- 历史事实或现实 : In ancient Rome, citizens spoke Latin. (在古罗马，公民说拉丁语。)
过去进行时用于表达：
- 在过去某一特定时刻正在进行的动作 : At 9 AM yesterday, I was attending a meeting. (昨天早上9点，我正在参加一个会议。)
- 被某个突发事件打断的动作 : I was taking a shower when someone knocked on the door. (我正在洗澡时，有人敲了门。)
- 过去同时发生的两个动作 : While she was preparing lunch, he was cleaning the house. (当她在准备午餐时，他在打扫房子。)
- 叙事中的背景或氛围 : The wind was blowing, and dark clouds were gathering in the sky. (风在吹，深色的云层正在天空中聚集。)
