Huomioitavaa
- "And" on neutraalein konjunktio kahden samanlaisen elementin yhdistämiseen.
- "Besides" toimii prepositiona merkityksessä "vieressä" (esim. "The keys are beside the door."), mutta konjunktiona se tarkoittaa "lisäksi / muuten".
- Muodot first/firstly ja second/secondly ovat semanttisesti vastaavia, mutta "-ly"-pääte kuuluu korkeampaan rekisteriin.
2. Syytä ja seurausta ilmaisevat konjunktiot

- "So" käytetään pääasiassa puheessa ja epämuodollisissa yhteyksissä.
- "Therefore", "thus", "consequently" ja "hence" kuuluvat formaaliin rekisteriin ja sopivat erityisesti akateemiseen tai ammattimaiseen kirjoittamiseen.
- "Due to" ja "owing to" rakennetaan substantiivilausekkeen tai gerundin kanssa:

- "Unless" ilmaisee negatiivista ehtoa ("jos ei"):
- "I won't attend unless..." = "En osallistu, ellei..."
- "Provided (that)" ja "providing (that)" ovat vaihdettavissa, vaikkakin "provided that" on yleisempi formaaleissa teksteissä.

- "Such as" ja "like" aloittavat suoraan konkreettisia esimerkkejä ilman erityistä välimerkkiä.
- "e.g." on latinalainen lyhenne, jota suositaan akateemisissa tai teknisissä teksteissä, yleensä suluissa.
